Legacy of Frederic Boyd Born October 21, 1952, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Sarah Jenkins and Fredrick H. Boyd. Frederic Boyd was the first born of two children. His family relocated to Camden, NJ in 1959, when Frederic was just seven years old. Settling on Erie Street Frederic was educated in the Camden City School systems. Multitasking Frederic was a full-time student while securing his part-time position at Camden County Council on Economic Opportunity, Inc. well known as O.E.O, while attending high school. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School with honors at the age of 16. Subsequently he attended Rutgers University Camden Campus, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Finance. Upon graduating from Rutgers, Frederic worked for the Kennedy hospital Finance Purchasing Department located in Stratford New Jersey. Thereafter Frederic began working for the Equifax Credit Bureau located in Cherry Hill, NJ as a credit bureau associate utilizing his extensive skills in finance. Transitioning into the mortgage industry, Frederic began working at Cendant Mortgage Corporation located in Mount Laurel, NJ as a Mortgage Processer, where he received Top Block Service awards for closing the most loans. After many years of dedication to Cendant, Frederic accepted a management position at Freedom Mortgage, in Mount Laurel, NJ. There he developed a business plan for 15 loan officers and 3 loan processors to efficiently assist buyers in purchasing homes. His region was awarded Processor of the Month six times in one year. Due to unforeseen illnesses Frederic elected early retirement. Down the road Frederic accepted a part-time position for the State of New Jersey Work Force 55 Plus Program, in Trenton, NJ, as an Employment Resource Specialist. Affectionately known as “Freddy Boy”, Frederic was a beloved father and grandfather. He was adored by many, always known to be very generous and selfless. Known for his keen fashion sense and good dance moves, Fred was the life of the party. Fred’s great sense of humor and loving personality would warm over anyone he came in contact with and he will be truly missed. Frederic leaves in his loving memory his Ex-wife and Best Friend Dorothy “Sande” Edwards, Children; Cybil Jackson & Son-in law William Jackson, Frederic “Sparky” Boyd Jr., Brittany Umm Sajidah Boyd-Williams & Son-in-law Isiah Abu ZaydWilliams, Chauncey “ Tyke” Boyd, Grandchildren; Lexus, I’Zahnae, Chayse, Za’im, Tamia, Ibn Zayd, Zaynab A’isha and Great Grandson Ya’qub, Sister Felice Boyd, Dear Cousin Noble “Shelton” Newborn, two God Children, Extended Families The Edwards & The Wynn Family and a host of Cousins, Nieces & Nephews.
