Obituary of Vincent Gallon Sr

Please share a memory of Vincent to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Vincent C Gallon was born on September 1, 1958 to the union of James and Melva Gallon in Camden, New Jersey. Vincent accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Mt. Olivet SDA church in Camden NJ. Vincent graduated fromDelseaRegional High School in 1978. After Graduating he became an employee of the Highway Department of Transportation from 1978-1988. Heworked for Con Oren Brothers Construction for 7 years along with His Father James. For a Brief time he held a position as a cook at the Best Western Hotel, where he was injured on the job. Which interfered with his health causing him to become partially disabled. In between working and making a living for himself, he managed to be a coach for the Midget Football teams in Glassboro New Jersey with his brother James.

In 1983, Vincent met and married Dorothy Credell the Love of his life and had three Beautiful children. For over forty years, New Jersey was his home, but Vincent’s wishes where to return to his parents roots to be closer to his father. Therefore, in 2009 he packed up his things, left New Jersey, and moved to Georgia.

He loved playing cards and having his family around to have a great time.  He was always on the phone with a family member no matterhow near or far. However, before he hung up the phone with you he would always say “Holla Back” those were his famous last words. During the football season, you could always catch him in front of the television wearing his football jersey and talking trash while watching his favorite team – Philadelphia Eagles. No one will ever understand the bond that he had with his family. It was unbreakable. Although some considered him the “Black Sheep” of the family, those who knew him knew he always keep you laughing. He humored us whether he was talking sports or how hot it was in Blakley. On the other hand, even if he was talking about what he cooked for dinner; and YES Vincent could throw down in the kitchen for sure. He treated everyone like family and if you did something, he did not hesitate to tell you about yourself and then tell you he loved you. Vincent had a big heart if he had it you had it not matter what it was. He had a smile that would light up a room and a laugh like no other.

On August 15, 2017, Vincent C Gallonunexpectantly fell asleep in Jesus. He leaves to cherish his memory to his caring wife Dorothy Gallon.  Three children Shalia (Hakim Perry) Atlanta, Shunean Orange (Antonio) Atlanta, Vincent Jr “Buddy” (Tiffany Monaghan) New Jersey.
