As a young boy, Sherman was baptized and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior at Broadway Bible Tabernacle in Camden, New Jersey.

On Saturday, November 25, 2017, Sherman transitioned to be with the Lord following a brief illness.

Sherman E. Pierson was born Saturday, June 28, 1958 to the late Reba E. Smith and Milton R. Pierson in Camden, New Jersey.

Sherman was educated in the Camden City School District, and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1977. He was a member of the Varsity Football team. He attended Camden
County College where he studied the trade of an electrician. Sherman worked many years for Harris Terminal. He later

Sherman was married to Karen Pierson and from this union they have two children, Jaia and Wintin. Sherman also has a daughter, Ashley and two grandsons, Aysean and Norris.  Sherman was full of pride and integrity and could be counted on to respond to calls of need.
