Kisha Downes, beloved daughter of Robert and Lottie Pierce, was born on July 4, 1979, in Camden, New Jersey. After a courageous seven-year battle with breast cancer, Kisha passed away peacefully at her home on August 16, 2024.

Kisha’s educational journey began in the Camden County School District and continued at Glassboro High School, where she excelled both academically and personally, earning a place in the National Junior Honor Society.

Following high school, Kisha found fulfillment in her work as a retail manager at notable stores, including Children's Place and New York and Company. Her dedication and work ethic were evident in every role she undertook.

On August 20, 1999, Kisha became a proud mother with the birth of her daughter, Briani Downes. Her son, Terrell Downes, followed on December 3, 2001. Kisha’s love for her children was boundless, and she cherished every moment with them.

Kisha will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her warm and loving spirit, and her unwavering generosity. Even during her own health struggles, she remained a steadfast presence for her family and friends. As “Auntie KiKi,” she was known for creating joyful sleepovers filled with treats and late-night movies. Her presence at family gatherings was always marked by her radiant smile and genuine kindness.

Kisha was also deeply valued by her friends, who were an important part of her life. She nurtured her friendships with the same warmth and care that defined her interactions with family. Her friends remember her for her unwavering support, infectious positivity, and the countless moments of joy and laughter they shared. Kisha was always there to lend an ear, offer a helping hand, or simply brighten someone’s day with her genuine spirit.

She is survived by her parents, Robert and Lottie Pierce; her daughter, Briani Downes; her son, Terrell Downes; her brother, Kevin Pierce (Crystal); her cherished nephews, De’von Downes and Logan Pierce; and her adored nieces, Kyla Pierce, Layla Pierce, and Chloe Pierce. Kisha was preceded in death by her sister, Veronica Downes, and her brother, Robert S. Pierce (Lateesha).

Kisha’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, strength, and joy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to have known her.
