Dorene Elaine Greene (Long), affectionately known as “Rusty” was born October 20, 1955, in Bristol, Pennsylvania, she passed away peacefully at home at the age of 69, on January 31, 2025, in Camden, New Jersey.
Dorene was an amazing mother and grandmother and was affectionately known as “Rusty.” Dorene worked as a Phlebotomist for Quest Labs and Penn Medical in Princeton, New Jersey. Dorene was known for making her famous pasta salad and sweet potato pie. She was a fashionista and owned over 200 pairs of sunglasses: being sure to have a pair to match every outfit! She was quite the fashionista! In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her grands, special friend, Terry and younger sister, Carol “Nookie.”
Dorene was the wife of the late John Greene and daughter of the late Junnis Long and Anna Louise Richardson. She is predeceased by her son, Jerome Greene, sisters, Velma Parkinson and Joanne Long, brothers, Jerome Long, Junnis Long, and Frank Long.
She leaves to mourn her memory, son John “Jay” (Jeanine) Greene of Camden, New Jersey, daughter, Cheyenne Cliett of Camden, New Jersey, three sisters, Sheila (Robert) Waters of Columbia, South Carolina, Gilda Gale of Bristol, Pennsylvania, Deborah Harris of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Carol Long of Camden, New Jersey. Brothers, Melvin Long of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Raymond Long of Pennsburg, Pennsylvania. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
