On February 4th, 2025, Anthony Lacount “Tony” Williams Sr transitioned to be with the lord. Anthony was born in Camden, NJ to Luther Strickland and Barbara Williams. He was educated in the Camden City School system and because he had passion for driving, he later continued his education at Smith and Solomon Truck Driving School where he would obtain a Commercial Drivers License. Anthony traveled throughout the United States doing what he loved until his health failed.
Anthony opened his heart to the lord at a young age under the leadership of the late Bishop Thomas E Payne of Sincerity and Truth Bible Ministry and later received the Gift of the Holy Ghost under the direction of Pastor Dwayne Coley of Christian Harvest Center in Albion NJ. He continued to proclaim the name of Jesus no matter life’s circumstances. Tony was committed to his church and always expressed his love for God. Sunday mornings you could find him either recording a service or leading the praise and worship team in his favorite song “This Means War”!
Tony enjoyed various hobbies and interests including going to the beach, boxing, barbering and fishing. As an avid wrestling fan, he never missed a Monday Night Raw. Tony was an artist, and the kitchen was his muse. He attended a Culinary Arts program in Philadelphia, where he received his culinary certificate. He enjoyed creating delicious BBQ on his grill master. Being a chef was in his blood. You could see his latest updates on his “Chef de la Ghetto” Facebook page. Earlier last year he launched his official DJing business. He was the “Gospel DJ”. Tony will forever be known for his charming, good looks, playful personality and love for singing in the house of the Lord.
Tony met his soul mate Lana over 34 years ago when they were young adults and have been married under God for 25 beautiful years. He was devoted to his wife and his family. That was “HIS WIFE”!
Anthony was predeceased by his Mother Barbara, Father Luther “Buddy”, Uncle Edward, Aunt Muriel, Aunt Elizabeth, two sisters Crystal and Barbara his brother Walter and daughter Breyona. He leaves to cherish unforgettable memories with his wife Lana Williams their children: Shakea, Anthony, Keyona, Braheem, Kwamere, Anthony Jr, and Teyona, his five grandchildren: Iyane, Chyna, Savannah, Sahara, Kassaun, his Uncle David (Anna) and Uncle Mac two special nieces Tamara and Brittany and a host of nephews, nieces’ cousins and friends.
