Joseph Wayne Martin affectionately known as “Joe” was born on October 6,1958 to the late Agnes and Norman Martin Sr in Camden NJ.

He was educated in the Camden city school system. Throughout the years he was employed at various jobs. Joe was a proud member of the ELKs Drill Team. He enjoyed spending time with many of his nephews and close friends. When summer came he enjoyed attending the Revivals on 7th Kaighn Ave where he excepted the Lord and Savior.

In 2011 he meant and married his former wife Colleen, he had the pleasure of spending months Trinidad where he enjoyed the water. He said the water was very good for his aches and pains, and drinking coconut juice fresh from the tree.


Unfortunately a few years back he suffered a stroke and from that point his health continued to decline. His nephew Antwyon ( Boo) Martin took on the task of caring for him. BOY was that a task! God bless Boo ( not an easy job!)


Joe babysat many of his nieces and nephews as young children whom he will be remembered as being stern.


He was predeceased by mother Agnes father Norman Sr brothers David, Ralph, Harold, Elwood, Clifford, Douglas and Richard Martin. Two sister Phyllis Martin and Inez Whye.


He leaves cherished memories loved and missed by his two children Sade and Joseph Garvin grandson Nasir Joseph Summerville. One sister Elsie Martin, Brothers Randolph ( Carolyn) Norman Jr, Phillip Sr Stanley and Mark Martin. Special nephews Antwyon and Dawayne Martin. A host of nieces ,nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews and many cousins. His life long bro ship Calvin Ginlatt, Kenneth Young and Matthew Thompson
