Ruby Carr was born in Neptune, NJ on February 6, 1947, to the late Louis Bryd, Sr. and the late Cora (Byrd) Lewis. She attended the Neptune Township Schools, Neptune, NJ and graduated from Neptune Sr. High School.

She was marriagd to Norman James and from this union they birthed their first son, Paul E. James. She later married the love of her life, Ralph Carr, Sr and from this marriage she had a second son, Ralph (Ralphie) Carr, Jr.

She graduated from Brookdale Community College of New Jersey as an operating room technician .

After graduation , she gained employment as an operating room tech at Fitkins Hospital (aka Jersey Shore Medical Center), in Neptune, NJ. She also co-owned a janitorial service that had contracts with many companies from South to North Jersey. She later was employed by the Burberry Warehouse.

Ruby was predeceased by her Husband - Ralph Carr, Sr., Son - Ralph Carr, Jr.,Father - Louis Byrd, Sr., Mother - Cora (Byrd) Lewis 

Stepfather- Roosevelt Lewis , Brothers - Louis Byrd, Jr., Edgar Byrd and Barry Lewis .

She is survived by her Son - Paul James

Sisters Diane Brodie, Roseanne Roberson (Keith) many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends .
