George Carter Obituary

George Carter was born on October 17, 1968, to the late George Wooten and Dr. Mary E. Carter in Indianapolis, Indiana. George, affectionately known as “Gee” and “Little George”, passed away on July 22, 2025.

George was educated in the Philadelphia School system. He worked many jobs until recently. George was in school to become a security officer and worked as an apprentice before his passing. George was so proud of the progress that he had made and would share his story with others in hopes of keeping them from going down the road that led to his struggles. He was an excellent storyteller and could captivate an audience with his accounts of things he witnessed daily. He was quite a jokester, always had something funny to say. He would sing his nieces' names when greeting them, and then say, “That’s my baby bubbbbbaaa” which always put a smile on their faces. He greeted his great nieces and nephews with a toy or trinket whenever they came to visit. He loved them very much and showed his love through these gestures.

Little George was known for his style. He always looked nice and kept the dopest sneakers. You could find him looking through the Eastbay catalogue at any time of the day. In addition to having the best sneakers, he would always keep one pant leg rolled up, adding to his flair. His swag and style caught the attention of everyone in the neighborhood. Gee was always fly.

George was preceded in death by his older sisters, Yvonne (2021) Donna (2007) and Linda (2024)

George leaves to cherish his memory, his brothers, Arthur (Izettar), Calvin, Michael, and Jerry (Judeline)

His aunts, Karen, Sharee, and Rochelle. His Uncle Larry Thomas. He leaves a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
