On August 1st, 2025, Lydia Georgetta Hohney was called home to rest by our almighty

Father God. Lydia was the youngest of 12 children. She was born on February 10th,

1963 to the late Thornton E. Hohney and Reba V. Hohney in Camden NJ, where she

later attended school at Cooper Grant Elementary School, Payne Pinot Middle School

and Woodrow Senior High School. She lived a vibrant life, filled with laughter, love for

others, but most of all she enjoyed a close walk with God. At the young age of 17, her

life took a terrible turn when she became ill for the first time. Over the years, she

courageously fought battles with both mental and physical illness. While in pain, she

seldom complained about anything, she always found a way to smile and say “I am all

right”. She peacefully went home to meet Jesus and a host of family members who

had gone on before her on August 1st 2025. She left behind to mourn her passing one

son, Victor A. Hohney of Camden N.J., eight sisters, Bernadine C. Pacheco of CA,

Andrea P. Younger of CA, Jacqueline D. Hohney of Las Vegas NV., Reba M. Hohney of

Camden N.J., Rita M. Hohney of CA, Ezelia J. Murray of Las Vegas NV, Antionette D.

Hohney of Las Vegas NV and Bernadette D. Perez of Manheim PA. Three brothers,

Michael E. Hohney of Grantville PA, Kenneth W. Hohney of Blackwood N.J. And

Theodore N. Hohney of Olympia WA. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Extended

Family and Friends.

God’s promise to the faithful is eternal life with him in Heaven. Rest well little sister until

we meet again
