Ms. Crystal Denise Evans, born November 8, 1963 to Janice Evans and Charlie Hicks. She was born and raised in Camden, New Jersey. She remained there until her unfortunate passing on August 15, 2025. Crystal affectionately known as “Nzinga”attended and was a graduate of Camden High School (receiving a high school diploma). She
also briefly attended Camden County College. In 1987, she met and entered a Common Law Marriage with Kenneth House, a Common Law union that would last the next 38 years. From this union, three lovely daughters: Kiara, Djenne and Asade
House, along with 5 grand childen: Aniyah and Maya Havard, Jakir Dean, Tettitah Mango and Kamrin Carstarphen were produced. Crystal loved life, living it with vigor, enjoyed dancing, had a wonderful sense of humor, and engaged in a 30 year carrier as an entrepreneur Specializing in designing beautiful African clothes via authentic African prints as well as quilts and
clothing by way of crocheting using distinctly produced design patterns).
Crystal was employed at the Moorestown Mall for several years, finally securing employment with Allied Barton Security Services for a period of 11 years) In addition,
she worked as comptroller for El's Karate on Kaighn Avenue covering a period of approximately 10 years. Spiritually, her path quided between Christianity, African
spiritual traditions and Moorish American beliefs.-Her forever inquisitive spirit propelled her in the direction of new age insights and paradigms. Crystal Denise Evans, a star that shown magnificently,
formerly of Camden, New Jersey, went to heaven peacefully on August 15, 2025.
Crystal was predeceased by both parents: Janice Evans Grandmother Vaudra Evans and Uncle Ronnie Evans . She leaves to cherish fond memories of this wonderful angel Kenneth Horse, Common Law Husband, brothers Mark (Mahdi ) Evans, Butchie Wilkins, sisters Traci and Stephanie Wilkins, daughters Kiova, Djenne and Asade House, nephews Saidi Evans, Charlie Hicks, Jamir bn and severa grand children: Jakir
Dean, Aniyah and Maya Howard, Tallilah Mango and Kamryn Carstophen. She will be remembered by son in laws Kenneth Howard and Jamon Carstophen as well as cousins Debbie and Sharon Broadwater, mother in law Carol Cropper Nael Brother in Laws Keith Berry and Rondo Larin Nael, Neice Saida Evans and A host of other cousins family and friends
