Nadine Clarke Obituary

Obituary

Nadine Boddie-Clarke was born November 28, 1951, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

to Juanita Boddie. She was preceded in her death by her mother, brother Walter

Williams and grandparents Rae Boddie (Pittman) and Harrison Boddie.

Nadine was raised in Camden, where she attended public school and graduated

from Camden High School in 1970. Due to her grandmother’s undying faith in

God, she instilled the importance of church and service to God which led her to

accept Christ in her life at an early age. She was baptized at First Nazarene Baptist

Church in 1964. Nadine later became a member of Bethany Baptist Church in

Lindenwold, NJ.

Nadine had a long and productive work life. She retired from UPS in 2013 having

worked there for 25 years. Prior to UPS she worked in the insurance industry for

10 years. But Nadine was most proud of being a mother and grandmother. She loved

surrounding herself with her grandchildren and planning fun-filled activities with

them on the weekends. She was also an excellent cook and family and friends

would be welcome to her table.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory two sons: Michael Boddie, Imari Boddie

and one daughter, Shante Walker. Son-in-law: Jeffrey Walker. Five grandchildren: Tarik Boddie, Jahmir Boddie, Sha’Lynn Clarke, Jeffrey Walker Jr., Jada Walker. One sister: Freda Boddie-Jones and two nephews: James Jones and Walter Julius Williams, Jr., as well as a host of cousins and childhood friends.
