Premire L. Wilson, affectionately known as Preem or P-Dot, was born on December 5, 1998, in Camden, New Jersey, to Shonda V. Harris and Lorris L. Wilson III.
Premire attended the Camden City School District and was a proud graduate of Camden High School, Class of 2018. During his time there, he shined both on and off the field, becoming the star quarterback for Camden High.
Preem’s love for sports began early. At the age of five, he started playing football with PYAA, later joining Whitman Park, where he also played baseball for a season before returning to football. In addition to football and baseball, he ran track with PAL, showcasing his talent as a true all-around athlete.
When he entered high school, Premire continued his passion for athletics, playing both basketball and football, and ultimately becoming Camden High’s standout quarterback. His dedication and skill led him to play for the AAU Next Level Football Team, and after graduation, he went on to attend Pierce College in California.
Beyond sports, P-Dot was known for his love of gaming and spending time with his friends and family. He had a gentle, soft-spoken nature and was known for his loyalty — he didn’t say much, but when he loved you, you knew it.
Premire was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Dorothy and Donnie Bunch Sr.; his grandmother, Rose M. Harris (Melvin Causey); his grandfather, Thurston M. Harris Sr.; and his uncle, Thurston M. Harris III.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Shonda Harris; his father, Lorris L. Wilson III; his sisters, Mahkaila DeLoatch and Safari Wilson; his grandfather, Lorris L. Wilson Jr.; and his grandmother, Colletta Pierce.
He is also survived by 11 aunts — Laverne, Carla, Ivy, Tina, Brigette, Akilah, Aisha, Gina, Karen, and Nina; 8 uncles — Thurston Jr., Isiah, Joey, Daryl, Tumani, William, Rodney, and Rick; and 10 first cousins — Victoria, Jahmeen, Theodore, Thurston, Shayna, Gerrod, Keyairah, Thurston IV, Fantasia, and Larry Jr.
Also mourning his loss are his God-sister, Lamyaa; his Godparents, Mashea Snyder and Rick Riley; his favorite cousin, Thurston; his cousin/brother, Duwan; his best friends, Jay and Giovanni; his special friend, Aaliyah; and a host of loving cousins, family, and friends.
Premire’s life, though far too short, was filled with love, talent, laughter, and loyalty. His light will continue to shine through the lives of those who knew and loved him.
