Life Story of Pastor Bryan Lee
Bryan Lee affectionately known as “Big Bryan, B, Big Boy, Fat Larry” but to his wife “Mr. Wonderful” was born on January 21, 1963 in Camden NJ to the late James Thomas Lee Sr. and Ruth Mae Lee. He was one of seven children. He grew up and lived most of his life in Camden NJ and later relocated to Bear, Delaware. He was educated in the Camden Public School System and graduated from Camden High School. In High School Bryan played on the Mighty Panther football team, and wrestling team.
Bryan married the love of his life Carla affectionately called “Karr”. They have two children Ameer Logan and Brianna Logan-Hazzard. Bryan and Carla loved to watch the Eagles as they were both avid Eagles fans. They enjoyed road trips, dinners out and especially serving the Lord. They also loved spending time with their precious grandchildren. Bryan worked professionally removing Asbestos and was a member of local 322. Bryan also worked for Sodat.
Bryan accepted the Lord into his heart and was baptized at New Philippian Baptist church under the leadership of Rev. Aaron C. Lee, Sr. At New Philippian he served as a Deacon, sang on the Male Chorus, worked with Angel food Ministry, and worked on the prison Ministry. Bryan later accepted the call to Ministry. He attended the Bethany School of ordination. He was ordained by Bethany Baptist Association. The Lord called Bryan to be the Founder and Pastor of “New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church” in Camden NJ.
Pastor Bryan Lee’s Ministry flourished at New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church, with the help of the Lord he established the Inmate After Care Program, Drug and Alcohol Prevention Counseling, Anger Management Counseling and the Tabitha Food Ministry which fed and clothed the less fortunate. He partnered with “If Not For Grace” to bring in showers for the homeless. The Church sponsored a summer camp for youth called “FROG” (Fully Rely On God). They also worked with the Camden FBI and DYFS to make Christmas special for children in need. He was able to have the Church totally refurbished. Pastor Lee and Carla also started their own Ministry “BandCL” (Building and cultivating lives). This Ministry operated as an outreach to help the community in any way that the Church was not able to do. Pastor Lee also worked at the Sunday Breakfast Mission in Delaware.
Pastor Bryan Lee had a passion for the disenfranchised and those who were in need. He had an evangelistic heart and wanted all he came in contact with to know and accept the Lord Jesus Christ. His favorite song was Guy How Great Thou Art. He was known and loved by all. He had a special love for his nephews and nieces.
Pastor Bryan Lee was preceded in death by his parents James and Ruth Lee and his “Mom-Mom” Louise Miller. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife Carla. His children Ameer Logan and Brianna Logan-Hazzard. His precious grandchildren Acir and Elijah Custis, Albert (Kendrick) and Ezra Hazzard. Siblings Louise Johnson, James (Crystal) Lee, Ruth (Eugene) Morris, Aaron (Randy) Lee, Janet (Terry) Haslam, Karen (Gregory) Davis. In-laws Sandra Nix, Sherrie Evans, Edward (Stephanie) Logan Jr, Cyndi Dawson and Mychelle Wiggins. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family, friends a special cousin Brenda Johnson and his loving Church family.
