Margaret Mangum Obituary

Margaret Scott Mangum was born on December 22, 1933, in Creedmoor, North Carolina, Granville County, to Oliver Scott and Sophie (Bowden) Scott.

Margaret attended G. C. Hawley High School in Creedmoor,North Carolina.


She was baptized at an early age at Sinama Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Oxford, North Carolina, but has been a member of First Nazarene Baptist Church in Camden, New Jersey for 59 years. In the year 1950 , Margaret met James Lloyd Mangum and

on November 30, 1957 they were married and moved to New Jersey. Out of this union a son, Dexter, was born.Margaret worked for

Ace Mailing Service in Pennsauken, New Jersey from 1979 to 1993, when her grand-

son was born. Margaret loved gardening,

baking, cooking in general, giving to others and especially She loved to be a housewife and grandmom.


Preceded in death was her beloved husband, James L. Mangum, five brothers, Silvester, Wilbert, James, John, Jerry and Walter Daniel, one sister, Catherine

Margaret leaves behind to Cherish her memory a son Dexter and grandson Alexander aka Alex and a host of nieces

and nephews, relatives and friends.
