In Loving Memory of Ulysses Ford

April 1, 1958 – Forever Remembered

Ulysses Ford was born on April 1, 1958, in Suffolk, Virginia, to the late Ulysses Hillman and Dorothy Ford. He was a man who valued family, carried strength through hard work, and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Ulysses will be remembered for his steadfast presence and the bonds he shared with those who knew and loved him.

Ulysses worked as a laborer, a role that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending time with family, sharing laughter and good conversation over fine spirits. He was also a devoted fan of combat sports, a passion that brought him excitement and endless discussions with loved ones.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his four children: Sharita Butler, Komar Butler, Isaiah Ford (Jasmine), and Noah Ford; seven beloved grandchildren; and four cherished great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Francine Ford and Rita Ford Matthews (Eric). He was preceded in death by his siblings Henry Ford, Gloria Weaver, and Larry Ford.

Ulysses Ford will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and all whose lives he touched.
