Obituary of Joyce Medley

Joyce Brown - Medley Helen Joyce Brown - Medley was born to the late Edward and Sarah Brown on September 7,1939, in Camden, NJ. Joyce was the seventh of eight children. She lost her mother when she was five years old. Joyce moved to New York City to live with her Aunt Angie, who was a devout Catholic; and she was baptised in St. Anthonys Catholic Church in the Bronx, NY. Her education was completed in Catholic school in the Bronx. Later she moved to Camden, NJ to be with family, and remained in New Jersey. Joyce worked many years as a Hotel Clerk, was in retail, and served as a School Bus Aide Bus Aide for Hillmans Bus Company. Having good, friendly neighbors in her Lindenwold complex gave her much pleasure and they became her extended family. They enjoyed many activities together, including gardening, playing bingo, hanging out at the apartment complex swimming pool, and just sitting, chatting and enjoying each others company. Joyce also loved feeding the ducks and squirrels, watching Classic TV - especially old westerns. Her special friends are Dr Natalie Tsigonis, Judy Burkhard, Michelle Irvin, and Denise Ayim - The gang at 3500 building. One must have a man to be the first to come through your door, on New Years day, for good Luck, was Joyces favorite annual tradition. Preceded in death sister Marion Gilyard and Barbara Medley and brothers Edward and Norris. She leaves to cherish her memory David Brown Winnie, Sara Demazeliere Clyde, Shirley Blackmon, and many nieces, Nephews, relatives, and friends.
