His brother-in-law affectionally gave him the name, “Hot Dog Dave” during his entrepreneur journey which he now known by friends and acquaintances. One of David’s favorite family traditions, was celebrating Birthdays and family gathering. David was extremely sociable and was the life of the party. He had friends all over South Jersey. When David came to a social event, he was always smiling and ready to dance. Tall in stature, you could see him coming with his hat tipped to the side. He made a cameo appearance to parties and cookouts. He enjoyed being on the grill at barbecues and cookouts. He considered himself the “Grill Master”. He was a dapper dresser and known as a GQ Dancing Machine. On Thanksgivings you would find him at Camden High – Woodrow Wilson Turkey game tailgating with his homemade hot turkey soup. Some of David’s prized possessions were his Classic Cadillac and his Old School Flip Phone. that is still operable!! David’s Pride and Joy was the birth of his son, Demitrius in 1988 whom he loved and adored. He would often brag about his son’s accomplishments. David was kindhearted, always encouraging, positive and never failed to leave friends and family with an infectious smile. David would say if you needed a place to stay… you can stay here. You could call him at 4am in the morning and say you needed a ride; he would come get you. If you were David’s friend, you had a friend for life!!!
