Obituary of Walter Chatman Jr

Please share a memory of Walter to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Walter "Stime" Chatman, affectionately known as "Little Walt", was born on January 11, 1967, in Camden, NJ, to Sandra "Sissy" and Walter "Walt" Chatman. He was raised in Camden, and attended Camden Public Schools. Walter was a jack of all trades, from Culinary Arts to Roofing to ATM installation. He was excellent with his hands. He could fix anything. And he did it with great pride! Stime truly loved his family, city and community. He was well known throughout Camden and Paulsboro. He was often seen in travels to and from various loved one's dwellings, most notably in the downtown Camden area, where he grew up. Little Walt made it his mission to try to take care of all of us, often stopping by to sit for a while and share a story or two. Walter was truly a unique man! Only God knew what he would say or do in the next minute! He's left us all with the most unforgettable stories to share and cherish for a lifetime! In hearing them, one can only bow their shaking head, while lovingly saying, "That's Stime!" Who else do you know who could leap a car in a single bound? Or slam dunk in dress shoes? Who else but Stime, could leave an unparalleled imprint on each heart here? Walter was a good man, at heart and in deed. Walter was saved and baptized right here in Little Rock Baptist Church, on (insert date here), by our very own, The Honorable, Pastor Steven T. Mack! With a new life in Christ ahead of Brother Walter, he began to walk a new path in his faith and belief in our Lord. Today, Brother...Father...Cousin...Uncle... Grandfather...Friend... We must let your weary body rest. Saying goodbye to your physical form. May God comfort us all with the knowledge and understanding of your new and everlasting life with Christ. Awaiting Little Walt at Heaven's gate is, his mother Sandra Chatman, father Walter Chatman, sister Dorothea "Bunny" Chatman, and stepfather Augustus "Leon" Ahing.
