Obituary of Samar Louden

Samar Rashaka Louden was born on June 3, 1977, to parents Zulaikha and Emanuel. Samar left his earthly body to transition into the spiritual world on August 8, 2023. Samar attended Winslow High School with a brief period at Camden High. He loved to laugh and make people smile. He loved good food and was not afraid to eat. In fact, one Thanksgiving after making his plate (platter), he was looking for utensils. Someone handed him a huge serving spoon to eat with. Samar looked confused and responded with one of his usual saying, “What the freak?” We all laughed. Samar loved football, particularly the Eagles. There was no disturbing him during an Eagles game. When Samar entered a room, his presence was known. His tall masculine stature made everyone feel safe. Although we will miss his physical presence, his spiritual presence will continue to make us smile. Samar was predeceased by his beautiful sister, Delores Clifton. He left behind his loving daughter Tiarra, loving mother Zulaikha, caring father Emanual, devoted sisters: Cynthia, Tia, Jakyla, a compassionate brother Jermaine, three wonderful grandchildren: Ma’Kayla, Ma’Khyla and Zyhan. He is also survived by his fantastic Aunts: Ruth Ann, Mattie, Wanda, Mary, his Uncle Bobby, and close cousin-friend Germaine. Samar also left behind a host of other amazing relatives and friends.
