Obituary of Joseph Capehart
~~Joseph Erving Capehart, 59, of
Burlington County passed away on
May 26, 2017. He was born in
Monrovia, Liberia on March 23,
1958. He later relocated to
Edgewater Park, New Jersey where
he resided until time of passing.
Joseph graduated from B.W. Harris
Episcopal High School in Monrovia, Liberia and received
an Associate’s Degree from Community College in New
York. Joseph married Marilyn Capehart in Palmyra, New
Jersey at the hall at The Harbour. They enjoyed traveling,
dancing and spending time with family and friends.
Joseph worked at New England Motor Freight in
Pennsauken, New Jersey and at Regal Shoes in New
York. He also enjoyed playing and watching soccer and
basketball. He was a star player for his High School
basketball team and Champion soccer player at B.W.
Harris Episcopal High School. Joseph was also affiliated
with the LA Corona Soccer League and he dedicated his
time with the teams organization and security of the
location where the games were held.
Joseph was predeceased by his parents Abraham B.
Capehart & Mother, Roseline Perry-Capehart. He leaves
to cherish fond memories his wife, Marilyn Capehart;
daughter, Roselyn Capehart and grandson Ezra; two step-
daughters, Shaneek Carey and Ashley Causey; two
stepsons, Terrell Carey and Dwayne Causey; two
brothers, Wellington (Amelia) Capehart and Wally (Janet)
Capehart; two sisters, Christine (Pierre) Mathlier and
Danlette Capehart; step-sisters and brothers; Eugenia
Burphy, Lawrence and Evangeline (Chinco) Lincoln; two
sister-in-law’s, Vivian White and Carole Roberts, many
aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, great uncles &
great aunts, great nephew & great nieces, close friends &associtaes.
