MILLER Maureen Antionette Miller, affectionally known as Puff, was born on September 6, 1971. To Edythe P. Miller and Gary K. Shaw. Maureen was educated in the Camden and Woodbury school systems. She was gracious graduate of Woodbury High School’s class of 1991. Maureen’s entire high school experience was rewarding. She made numerous friends and learned to achieve goals. Maureen was an active participant in Woodbury High School’s athletic programs. She started her athletic career as a member of the field hockey team and moved onto basketball. As a member of the girls’ basketball team, she achieved an exceptional scoring record. She was the first to score one thousand points, breaking the prior record. In addition, Maureen was a fantastic track star and was awarded several medals. She was extremely excited to participate in the annual Penn Relays and Woodbury Relays each year. After graduating from Woodbury High School Maureen attended technical school where she earned her certification in Sterile Processing. While earning her certification, Maureen worked at Underwood Memorial Hospital in Woodbury. Maureen began in the Food Service department working in multiple positions. Serving as a food service preparation assistant, and a quality assurance attendant, who focused on dietary requirements for patients with restricted dietary needs. Maureen became a Certified Senior Sterile Processing Technician and began her career at Underwood Memorial Hospital in 2002. Maureen continued to work for Underwood Memorial Hospital when it merged with Inspira Health Network and later relocated to the Mullica Hill hospital. She continued her education by acquiring certification as a Registered Central Service Technician, and in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. Maureen was a beautiful ray of sunshine that lit up the room whenever she arrived. A person that loved her family, adored her friends and exemplified her expression of love for people daily. Maureen referred to her family​ members as “Auntie”, “cousant”, and “neph”. The girl loved to attend Camden High School Basketball games with family and friends, enjoyed going to see the Sixers play at Wells Fargo Center, attended the Penn Relays every year, and enjoyed Hip Hop music. Maureen leaves to cherish her memory, father Gary K. Shaw. Sisters-Sadia Miller, Dr. Rashida Z. Shaw, Katrina McCombs, and Chineek Young Sakuwra Shaw Esq. Nephew-Marheem Miller. Aunts-Iris Smith-Banks, Joyce Miller, Marie Smith, Karen Miller-Dobbs, Joann Miller, Teresa Smith, and Linda Miller. Uncles-Vincent Smith, Steven (Terisa) Miller, and David Miller. Stepfather-Bruce Williams. Her Mother, Edythe P. Millers-Williams proceeded her in death. Also a host of cousins, friends and former co- workers.
