Wassim Pierson Streater, son of Amina Loraine Streater and the late Labeeb Pierson Streater was born June 26, 1969 in Camden, NJ. Wassim was educated in the Camden School System. Wattie Wat or Wattles as he was affectionately called by family and friends spent a lot of his childhood in Lawnside visiting his cousins. Those memories will always be imbedded into our hearts forever. When he would visit, he would always end up staying the entire weekend spending a lot of his time with his cousin Hakim. Fun times included, swimming, getting in the clubhouse, eating and we also took some day trips. His loving smile and gentle demeanor made him always welcome. The loving memories of our “Wat” will forever be with us. He was an eater and never passed up on a Sunday Mom meal and looked forward to making his Mom breakfast. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan with a daughter who is a Dallas Cowboys fan. Wassim’s proudest moment was the birth of his two daughters Krystle Caraballo and Shukriyyah Darby and 3 grandsons Keith Jackson, Ti’yon (Tank) Stewart and Kross Ayala. Wassim was employed by Hargrove Demolition and Construction Company earlier in his life but in the recent years a Philadelphia Streets Department Program. Wassim was the eldest brother of his siblings and was that kind and gentle spirit that was so loved by his family. Wassim was preceded in death by his father Labeeb Pierson Streater and brother Damu Streater, grandparents Arthur and Catherine Streater, Leonard and Jeanette Medford and mother of his daughter Wanda Caraballo.
