Obituary of Devon Coleman

Devon Michael Coleman was born in Camden NJ, to Stephion Coleman and Janie McClain-Akins on July 25, 2003. Devon was educated in the Camden School system where he played basketball, soft ball   and ran track for Wiggins family School. Devon attended Pennsauken Vocational high school and graduated in 2021. Devon followed in his father's foot Steps after high school and applied to Cherry Hill WalMart as a tire mechanic where he worked for the last 3 years. In September he decided to start a new career journey and became a team member of Verizon in Mount Laurel NJ where he worked until his untimely death ◦ To know Devon is to love him. He walked in every room with a smile to lighten everyone’s days and his spirit and kind words and gestures to leave a lasting impression for all who knew him. He was given the nickname “Bishop” by his father . Devon was proceeded in death by his grandparents Leon Sr & Betty Mcclain, great grandmother Manila (Chee Chee) Coleman, and aunt Angela McClain. He  leaves to cherish his memories his father Stephion Coleman, mother Janie McClain-Akins (Lemar) grandparents Barbara Jones (Teddy) and Kenneth Miner. Great-grandmother Dorothy Harris. One brother Derron J. Coleman, Uncles, Eric Alston, Aimir Coleman, Keith McClain (Ebony), Kevin McClain, Leon Jr McClain (Vanessa), Micheal McClain, Terrance Carrol (Lett). Aunts, Sonya McClain, Catherine McClain, Nina Coleman. Great aunts Myrtle (Nolan) Honey, Olivia Garrison, Geraldine Moses, Voncile Minter, Priscilla Harris, Damita Joe Rhodes(Robert), & Arlena Cook(Woodrow). Two special friends Lemar Freeman & Chyna Strickland. He will be missed by a host of cousins and other family and friends.
