Debra Graham Obituary

Debra Graham was born on December 14, 1950, in Cooper Hospital, Camden, NJ to the late Edward and Elaine Graham. Debra grew up in the Parkside community of Camden and attended the Camden city school system.


Debra graduated from Camden High School and went on to receive various college degrees in nutrition, sociology, P-3 and as a Pre-K teacher. Debra worked tirelessly as a teacher for the Camden City School District.


During her youth and into adulthood Debra attended the Parkside Methodist church. Debra was raised by and resided with, her late aunt, Grace Laws and her late uncle Reginald Laws. They instilled Christian values in Debra by ensuring that she attend church, sang in the choir, attend summer bible school, and summer camp given by the Methodist Church.


Debra enjoyed reading, gardening, taking cruises, line dancing, swimming, and vacationing with her grandchildren to Wildwood, NJ, where she loved to BBQ for the family.


Debra leaves to cherish her memory two children Denine Fernandez and James Graham. Four brothers Tyrone, Walter, James and Larry Graham. A sister, Patricia Johnson. Four grandchildren Destiny Allan, Malaysia Morgan, Bryanna Nichols Graham, and Khalel Nichols Graham. Three great grandchildren, Naila Johnson, Imani and Alamine Allan, along with a host of family members and friends.


The family would also like to acknowledge Debra's sub club members, Dana, Mildred, Ms. Gee, Renee, and Cheryl who gave much comfort to Debra during her time of illness. The family further wishes to thank everyone that visited and comforted Debra
