Shamire’s Story

Shamire Darnell Shields was born on June 19, 2002 in Camden New Jersey. The angels were sent down to take him home on November 26th, 2024. Shamire is survived by his beloved mother and father Zarifa Shields and Darnell Boone.

He is also survived by his paternal grandmother Darlene Boone, maternal grandfather Kenneth Shields, Aunt Darlene Boone, Aunt Spring Boone, Aunt Brandy Boone, Aunt Daarina Shields, Aunt Shartesha Shields, Aunt Takara Shields, and Aunt Tameka Curtis. Shamire was also a loving sibling to Shaquan Shields, D’Kajah Shields, Shatese Shields, Kalaysha Johnson, Michael Ajayi and Blair Boone and a host of great aunts, cousins, family, and friends.

Shamire was educated in the Camden Public School System. While in school Shamire played football for the Woodrow Wilson Tigers. In his pastime his favorite activities were playing his beloved PS5 and basketball at the neighborhood basketball courts. As a youngman Shamire loved to play cards and hangout with his friends. Shamire graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in good standing and he recently decided to enroll in Camden County College for an Engineering Technology degree. Shamire was known for being a very laid back young man who loved being around his family, but when he was ready for his solitude, anyone in his personal space had to get to steppin’.

Shamire will be returning home to his late Grandmother Willie Dell Shields, Bernice Shields, and Great Grandmother Queen Singleton, who preceded him in death. May they open the doors to heaven and welcome Shamire with open arms.
