Obituary of Stephanie Jones

Stephanie Michelle Jones was born in Camden NJ on October 10, 1969, to Ellen Merritt and William Steele the youngest of their three children. She grew up mainly in the Camden county area, Later relocated to Pennsauken, NJ where she resided until her time of passing. She attended Depford high-school and Winslow high-school where she earned letters in track and field and was apart of the marching band while attending Deptford high-school. Later deciding school wasn’t for her dropping out and pursued to get her GED at Camden County College. In the fall of 1992 on October 9th Stephanie and Bryant Jones Sr decided to tie the knot and get married following that was the birth of her first child Bryant Jones Jr on October 18th 1992. Stephanie and Bryant Sr had another child Shimon Jones two years later in the summer of 1994 before separation 1995. In the year of separation, she met Andrew Key and which they had her last child Michael Jones whom was born on April 3rd 1996 and later met her companion Michael Brown whom she has been with for 22 years. As she would grow Stephanie would work various jobs too make sure her family needs were always being met, she worked at various jobs such as a lunch aide , security at the NJ aquarium, Trump Casino and Home healthcare for the elderly and sick. Stephanie hobbies was going to Concerts to see her Favorite Artist. She enjoyed watching her TV shows Maury, Jerry Springer, Steve Wilkos, In living Color, Martin, NCIS and more. She enjoyed Traveling especially with her girls (Ellen & Chanelle). She enjoyed listening to her Oldie and church music while cleaning her home on Sundays. If there was a party she would be the life of it for sure! She mostly love to show whom ever she got in contact with that it’s more to life always push forward. Stephanie was 55 when she passed away peacefully in her home in Pennsauken NJ on January 16, 2025. Stephanie’s spent her life caring for and loving her cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren like they were her own. Her door and her heart was always open to anyone who needed love. She was predeceased by her father William Steele and leaves behind her spouse Michael Brown, her mother Ellen Merritt, her brother William Steele, Sister Lauren Dokes, her beloved sons Bryant Jones Jr. , Shimon Jones, and Michael Jones, and her grandchildren Malia, Issac, Ember, and Nasir, her Niece Chanelle Dokes, Nephews Tim Steele, Reggie Dokes Jr and Justin Dokes, Angeles Steele. Stephanie’s nurturing yet stern spirit was admirable, she was beautiful, intelligent, funny, serious, thoughtful, caring, outspoken, spontaneous and most of all loving…though she will be deeply missed by many we must take comfort in the memories we have to keep forever.
