Guylon “Guy” Reese Arline was the fourth child of five children;
surrounded by four sisters: Cheryl Arline, Elaine Arline (deceased),
Jeannine Green (deceased), and Alesia Bell. He was born on
September 12, 1965, to the late Corrine and Ashley Arline, Jr. and on
the 28th of September 2017 he was given his wings. The gates were
opened and he met our parents and sisters at the party already in full
swing. He was 52 years of age when his party began and he left us
here… the deadbeats.
He went to all the coolest schools in Camden City school system
like H.B. Wilson, Charles Sumner, Morgan Village and last but not
least the “castle on the hill” Camden High where he graduated in 1983.
After graduating he entered the United States Navy in 1985 and was
honorable discharged after getting sick.
Guy had a love for music, football, being a prankster and a
harassing brother, friend and uncle. Whenever there was a sleeping
child anywhere in sight and you thought that exhaling was allowed, he
would wake the child up by pinching the cheeks and cracking himself
up with laughter. If there was a funny joke said, he would not let it go
but instead followed behind you laughing and repeating it as if you did
not hear the joke about you. He was very intelligent, quiet at times and
liked to color, draw and rock to music in his time alone. Being the only
brother that we had, he was sometimes pulled in many directions and
spread too thin by beating up our boyfriends, trying to hook us up with
who he wanted us to date and teaching his little sister how to throw a
football.
Guy will surely be missed! He leaves behind to treasure their
memories his two sisters, Cheryl and Alesia; twenty nieces and
nephews; two brothers (from other mothers) Kevin Hollis and Kenneth
Maquilla; longtime friend Jimmy Bishop and a host of aunts, uncles,
cousins and friends.
