Nylah Aisha Alfonso “Minnie” was born on December 15, 2016 to Freddy Alfonso Jr and Naeemah Hickson. During the first nine months of her life, Nylah was at Cooper Hospital and The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia where she was affectionately cared for by a loving staff of doctors and nurses. Nylah soon transferred from hospital to home care on October 17, 2017 where she was surrounded by her parents and loving family. Nylah was a strong little girl and at one pound five ounces at birth her eyes were wide open and she was breathing on her own. Nylah was a fighter and a warrior. She laughed and smiled throughout her 13 months bringing joy and happiness to everyone she touched. She enjoyed being read to ,listening to music, clapping and waving her hands.

 Nylah transitioned from this life into the arms of the Lord on February 1, 2018. Nylah will be deeply missed by her parents; Naeemah Hickson, father Freddy Alfonso Jr sister Alaysiah Alfonso – Jenkins maternal grandparents Naomi Scott, Bruce Hickson, paternal grandparents : Petra Rivera (deceased), Freddy Alfonso Sr., aunts: Rafiah, Tyeka, Felicia, Lucia uncles: Balewa Sr (Lashawn) Enrique, Eduardo, Pedro, Juan, Harry. Godmother: Natalie Proud Love special cousins: Balewa Jr. (BJ) Aziyah, En’Niya and host of family and friends
