Obituary of David M Davis

David Mark Davis, born December 20, 1960 in Camden, New Jersey, was one of eleven children born to the late Earl and Beatrice Davis. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into his life at an early age. He grew up and was educated in the Camden City Public School System. David was given the privilege to serve his country in the U.S. Army, where he received an honorable discharge. David worked at the Y.M.C.A. located in Philadelphia, PA, for a number of years as in the maintenance department. He was also proud to be a basketball coach for the adults at the Y.M.C.A. After moving back to New Jersey, David was able to gain employment at Pritchard Industries in the maintenance department, where he worked every day until he went home to be with the Lord. David loved spending time with his family at barbecue’s, holiday dinners and listening to music. He was known as the “Body Guard” for the family as he loved and protected his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and other family members. He also enjoyed all sports activities and coaching basketball and football with the neighborhood youth. He also loved to watch his favorite football team, The Philadelphia Eagles. David age, 58 went home to be with the Lord on February 4, 2018. He was predeceased in death by his parents Earl and Beatrice Davis, his sisters Arlene P. Mayo and Glenda Davis and nephew Sean Davis. David leaves to cherish his siblings, Carol Ann Davis, Barbara Davis, Donald Davis, Dwain Davis, Garry Davis, Keith (Sibbie) Davis, Benjamin Davis and Shelia Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
