Obituary of Francisco Burks

Francisco Perez-Burks Sr. was born in Brooklyn , New York to Jacinta Torres and Francisco Perez

Francisco grew up in Atco, New Jersey where he attended New Jersey public school.

When Francisco was 4 years old, he was adopted by his late mother Loretta Burks, whom he remained with until her passing.

Francisco had many jobs, but always consist with his one true passion, which was being a cook.

In 2001 he started work at Skelly's Amusements Inc where he assembled, disassembled and operated the Pharaoh's Fury. This was more then just a job to him, it grew to be like family. This is also the place where he met his future wife and the mother of children Tona Gesnaker. They were joined in matrimony on April 08, 2010. Within these 18 years they welcomed 2 children Francisco Perez-Burks Jr. and Kassiana Perez-Burks. He also raised Kyle Mason since he was 2 years old.

Francisco was known by many, either as June, Junito, Jerz or Uncle Baboon. Every person he met he had the ability to connect with on some type of level. With his sly, sarcastic and abundantly vast vocabulary he always made people (especially ones in need) feel his love with his many"talks" about life and how to stay focus , to always shoot to be best version of themselves.  He was a great teacher,advisor, father,brother, uncle, cousin , nephew and friend.  Francisco will truly be missed and will forever live in our hearts.

Sadly at the young age of 34 years old Francisco returned home on April 10, 2018 at Cooper Hospital in Camden , New Jersey

Francisco was predeceased by his mothers Jacinta Torres and Loretta Burks, sister Cindy Williams and his mother-in-law Mabel Gesnaker

Francisco leaves to cherish fond memories his wife Tona Perez-Burks (Gesnaker) His children Francisco Perez-Burks Jr, Kassiana Perez-Burks and Kyle Mason. His brothers Josue Torres and Hakeem Williams. His sisters Delcene Barnes, Maggie Michael and Margie Torres.  His brother-in-laws Juan, Luis , Pablo, Lump, Ernesto (Buddy), Marc,Eric, and Richard(Man-Man) His sister - in- laws Cathy, Mable, Zoila( Shorty), Noelia, Vilma, Rosita, Curlie, Erica and Tracy. His God children Shateara, Elizabeth, Octavian and Eugene. and Symirah his niece in which he played a major part in raising. A host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces , Nephews, cousins, family and friends
