Obituary of Faruq Franklin

Please share a memory of Faruq to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Faruq Franklin was born in Newark NJ to the late Annie Franklin and Phillip Key on September 21, 1974. He has been called home July 28, 2018.

Faruq attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden NJ than later enrolled in Camden County College. As a child moving into manhood he had a bunch of bumps & bruises and through all of the obstacles he loved and took care of his two beautiful daughters  Laniya Johnson & Tierra Johnson and their mother Dorothy Johnson that was his absolute focus in life.

Faruq was also a devoted big brother to Hassan Franklin , Xavier Franklin, Admier Franklin ,Moustafa Franklin and Michelle Seddens. He was the kind of brother that the stayed the same from the beginning to the end. You could always know with no doubt that Faruq would be Faruq hands down. He would say  “What let me do me?” He was one of the most realest men I have ever had the honor of knowing let alone call a big brother. He also had a passion for all the children of the family and a host of God children, Jordan Griffin (goddaughter) step children Mahlia, Mariyah, Malachi & Faruq girlfriend Charlene Redding and too many to remember,
