Obituary of Terrence Parker
Life Reflections
Terrence “Taz” Bernard Parker, the son of Jo Stenell Parker, and the late Frank L. Waring was born on December 13, 1961 in Philadelphia, PA and entered into rest on August 5, 2018 at Cooper’s Hospital. Terrence was baptized at an early age under the leadership of Reverend Davis of the Davis Baptist Church of Philadelphia, PA. “Taz”, as he was affectionately called by many, was educated in the Philadelphia and Camden school system. “Taz” worked for Penny Plate for many years as a fork lift operator. He was a hard and dedicated worker who also worked various outside jobs after working for Penny Plate. One of “Taz” childhood memories was his love for cars. As a little boy, he would race his toy cars up and down the stairs and the only thing you would hear was “voom voom”. This passion for cars continued into his adulthood. “Taz” also loved listening to his oldies such as Marvin Gaye, Luther, Whispers, and etc. He also had a love for old school rap artists such as Bootsie Collins and Funkadelics to name a few. He in addition had a love for the late Whitney Houston-Brown.
“Taz” had a special bond with his mother and sisters. He also had an extremely loving father/son bond between him and his son Shakeer “Daddy” Owens. “Taz” had a lot of love for his nieces and nephews. “Taz” loved visiting his favorite cousin mike on occasions just to reflect back on when they were little or put something on the grill. They even sometimes talked about when they worked for Mack Janitorial Service. He loved being around his family and they loved being around him too. To know him was to love him. You are truly going to be missed.
He leaves to cherish his memories- A loving mother, Jo Stenell Parker, Step-Mother, Pearlice Waring, Son, Shakeer “Daddy” Owens, 2 Step Daughters, Nidjha and Erica Owens, 2 Step-Granddaughters, Nasaya and Acire Owens, 5 Sisters, Sharon Parker, Dorethea Parker-Smith, Felecia Parker-Leakes, Shavonn Parker-Franco, Vera Waring, 2 Brothers-In-Law, Darnell Smith and David Leakes, 1 Sister-In-Law, Amy Franco, 4 Special Aunts, Lillie Mae Milton, Ann Ruth Lampkin, Irene McAry, Laura Waring, 1 Special Uncle, W.
