Obituary of Robert Lee Tatum

Robert Lee Tatum Sr. affectionately known as " Bobby" departed this life on Saturday, March 14, 2015. He was born April 21, 1935 in Camden, NJ to Hazel Isler. He was the oldest child of 11. Bobby was educated in the Camden Public School System, graduating from Camden High School in 1954. He later attended Glass boro State College graduating in 1981. Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bobby achieved his career goal in Law Enforcement by becoming a Camden Police Officer. He reached a pinnacle within the Department elevating as sergeant in the Detective Bureau. He furthered advanced his career by moving to the Camden County Prosecutors Office where he served 20 years, retiring with the rank of lieutenant in the Major Crimes Unit. Bobby was well known and respected in the community and in later years was known as "Pop-Pop" by the children on Magnolia Avenue. Bobby is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years Margaret "Dale" Tatum, 3 children, Robert Jr., Donna Drummond (Jonathan), Maggie Tatum , 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandson, 1 brother Darryl Isler, 3 sisters, Delores Saunders, Shirley Isler and Aileen Isler, 1 aunt Margaret McNair a devoted cousin Gracie Hicks and a host of family and friends.
