On February 18, 1936 in Americus Georgia God blessed Richard Wallace and Tommie Mae Patterson with their second child to whom they gave the favorable name William James Wallace. William continued to grow up in Georgia until their family was relocated to Tampa, Florida where he spent time with his great grandmother Reverend Josephine Anne Walker and his great uncle Deacon DePlummer Daniels and his great aunt Reverend Lorraine Daniels who also shared in loving and raising Wally. Wally received Christ at an early age while living with his extended family in Tampa, Florida. After graduating from Don Thompson High School in Tampa, Florida in 1953, William enlisted into the United States Air Force where he served during Korean War and was stationed in Washington State. After receiving his honorable discharge in 1959 he reconnected with his great aunt Lorraine who had moved to Camden, NJ. He continued this loving relationship with his great aunt which he loving called her "Muh" by moving to Camden, NJ as well. He met his loving companion Sylvia (Lamb) Wallace and the two married in 1961. He is the proud father of Alim (Troy) Wallace, William (Billy) Wallace II, and Latonya Wallace, Russell Webb, Michelle Webb Brown and Sandra Webb Clark. After retiring from the barbershop business he started another business venture in real estate. Wally really enjoyed interacting and servicing his community and was often referred to as he "Unofficial meet and greet person"at Pathmark Grocery Store. Even in his senior years his passion for people in his community was evident in the expectationhe shared each day as he looked forward to meeting up with some of his friends at McDonalds for breakfast then reassembling at Pathmark afterwards. Wally was a big hearted person always concerned about others though he enjoyed what some may consider the little things in life. He loved attending his church: True Life Fellowship and he was very fond of his pastor Dr. Wesley Pinnock. He was especially fond of his children and his family which was evident in providing for their education and upbringing even after his wife passed on. He spoke fondly of all his children that have careers of hair stylist, barbers utility workers and recreational supervisor, realtor, nurse and lawyer.
