Obituary of Lenette Rogers

Lenette “Nessie” Marie Rogers (nee Smith) was born September 26, 1959 to Janet Trueblood and Len Smith in Camden, New Jersey. Lenette accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized. She considered Grace Worship Center Church in Hartford, Connecticut her Connecticut church home. She was educated in the Camden City Public School System. Lenette also took classes at a technical institution and became a certified typist. Lenette was a very loving and caring person whose laugh could fill a room. She often provided care to those in need. Over the years she provided childcare for the children of many family members and friends. While she only had two children by birth, many considered Lenette a mother and grandmother. Lenette was a loving Mother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend. She was treasured by those who knew her. Lenette enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed socializing with friends and family. Lenette Marie Rogers went home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2021, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her; husband Willie Joe Rogers, mother Janet Trueblood, and father Len Smith. She leaves to cherish her memory; her children Liela Marie Fuller and Christopher Alan Rogers (LaTina), her grandson Malachi Fuller and her siblings Lorna Henley (Donald), Dorothy Godette (George), Allen Mark, and a host of other relatives and friends. A Public Viewing will be held from 10 am – 12 pm on January 21st at Boyd’s Funeral Home 1458 Mt. Ephraim Avenue Camden, NJ. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the funeral service is limited to immediate family but will be streamed via Zoom.
