Q: What was Walter like as a child?
A: More than 65 years ago on July 7, 1959 you entered my life 13 days before my 10th birthday on July 20th. I was so happy to have a little brother who shared my birth month with me. I remember so vividly when grandpop's brother Uncle Emmett carried you, at 9 weeks old, around Palisade Park so mommy could ride on all the rides. And how upset mommy was when Uncle Emmett dropped dead of a heart attack as he was crossing the South Street where he lived in Philly. All she kept saying was "what if he had dropped dead when he was carrying Wibbage around Palisade Park?" And then when you were about 3 years old standing at the doorway into the kitchen talking to someone you said was sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee. Mommy asked "Wibbage, who are you talking to?" and you said "Uncle Emmett" a person who carried you around Palisade Park when you only 9 months old, too young to even know him.
Love your sister, Debbie
